Read the full review below: Fiery fish & chips : we've been calling the 'fiery fish' as the masala fish ever since we asked the owner what it tastes like & honestly, it does taste like masala & I'm not complaining . It was flavourful, scrumptious & cooked very, very well. - Regular fish & chips : I'm not a huge fan of fish & chips but the fish here at Mother Hubbard's begs to differ! The fish was so flaky, crispy & not oily at all! I couldn't even taste the oil as it was very subtle & the batter was perfect. It was the best one yet & the owner said it took them a while to perfect it which means they really care about the quality of their food & service. - Steak pie & chips : I think the reel said it all. - Fish sandwich & chips : the fish sandwich was tasty but I wasn't a big fan of it as it was quite simple for me. The chips were delicious & one can't go wrong with fat/chunky chips. - Scampi & cheesy chips: the scampi were one of my top 3 because it was just so damn good but the cheesy chips was okay. - Sauces: my favourite sauce out of all four was the spicy curry sauce! It had the right amount of spice and kick & it was a positively different sauce to accompany our food. We got the standard gravy sauce, mushy peas & curry sauce. I loved how the mushy peas was not watery at all & it was the best one I've had. - Overall, I would definitely come back again & I urge everyone to visit because not only was the quality of food ahmaaaazing but the service was kind & friendly & the food is affordable.
